Some Nice New C-Webb Additions and 250 Trades

Giannis and the Bucks completed their Gentleman's Sweep of the Celtics last night.  8 wins down, 8 more to go.  Nice to see Brogdon return last night and kick some of the rust off the tires.  George Hill and Pat Connaughton were huge off the bench all series.

Completely forgot to acknowledge the completion of my 250th TCDB trade on Monday.  Not too shabby - 250 trades in just over 13 months.  Thanks to all of my trading partners for helping me expand my collection.  I only wish I had started trading sooner!

Two packages today; both very similar as both are eBay purchases that include 2018-19 Chris Webber's.  First up, I won a pair of National Treasures cards from one buyer.  Both are MEM, SN99:

Paul Pierce - Prisoner of the Moment

Following Game 1 Paul Pierce had the Bucks dead and buried.  Four games later the Bucks are off to the conference finals and Danny Ainge has to take a long look at his roster.  Fear the Deer!

a 2010 Prestige Dhani Jones.  Dhani played on the 1997 national title team and earned multiple All-Big Ten honors while at UM.  He spent 10 seasons in the NFL and started in a Super Bowl.  Following his NFL career, Dhani started a bow tie business and made numerous appearances on television.

How about those Bucks?  They went into Boston and regained home court advantage.  I get a kick out of the complaints about Giannis going to the free throw line so frequently.  He is aggressive.  He makes the opponent defend.  They are fouling him.  It's pretty straight forward.

Oh my God...  Eric Bledsoe drives me nuts.  It's almost like he has a form of "Little Man Syndrome".  He has to prove how tough he is and in doing so he often negatively impacts his own team.  He will get too physical and pick up foolish fouls and/or commit silly turnovers.  I sometimes wonder if committing to him for another four seasons was a wise move.  He's a good PG, but not elite, and an erratic shooter.  Combine that with my initial reservations and...

One package today; my third trade with TCDB member Rustyk99.  I make a habit of checking my Match Alerts at least once a day and when I saw this card pop up I immediately fired off a proposal:



It's the Italian version of the 1995-96 Collector's Choice #200.  That's Italian!  I kind of enjoy chasing down the various foreign language editions of the Collector's Choice sets.

Just one single card package today; a recent eBay purchase:



I already have two copies of this 2018-19 Crown Royale Webber MEM card.  Both of those copies include a black piece of material while this new card includes a purple piece.  Yes.  I am that guy.  The guy who buys multiple copies of the same MEM card just to acquire different colors of material.  I only do that for Webber and Giannis though.  Giannis is getting too expensive now so really I only do it for C-Webb.
