Three packages and Bama vs. Clemson - Round 4

Watching:  Bama vs Clemson on ESPN - Roll Tide Roll!

Received three packages in the mail today - one trade and two eBay purchases.

Package 1.

The first package was a small PWE from TCDB member CKBeber329 consisting of twelve basketball cards.  The highlight was an Ultra Kevin Garnett insert.

Package 2.

The second package was an eBay purchase consisting of four lots.  The first lot in this package was four 1992-93 Stadium Club Beam Team inserts.

The second of the four lots in this purchase was comprised of fourteen 1993-94 Finest Main Attraction inserts.  The inclusion of Shaq is a nice bonus.

Four 1993-94 Stadium Club Beam Team inserts comprised the third of the purchase's four lots.  My four year-old daughter (Harper) loves the these because they are so shiny.

The final of the four lots in this eBay purchase included seventeen 1995-96 Finest Mystery inserts.

Completing Finest and Stadium Club sets is one of my primary collecting goals so securing some inserts in bulk is a nice score, especially given that Jordan is included in the Mystery lot.

Package 3.

The third and final package received today was the second eBay purchase.  This was a single card, but a big one.

Completing football sets from my childhood is a collecting goal.  The 1984 Topps football set is loaded with some good, and pricey, RCs.  Securing the Elway was a major step toward completing this set.  I checked COMC over the Thanksgiving and Christmas sales but the "affordable" copies all had flaws.  Finding this nice copy on eBay at the New Year was a pleasant surprise.

Crud.  Tua just threw a pick six.

While collecting Michigan Wolverines is my primary goal, I did attend grad school at Bama.  During the 2005 season Mike Shula led the Tide to a 9-0 start before losing a top five battle in OT to LSU at home.  It was a fun season though.  Prothro's ESPY winning catch vs. Southern Miss, throttling Florida at home, surviving vs the Vols at home, and winning a nail biter at Ole Miss.  Shula couldn't sustain the momentum though and some guy named Nick took the helm in 2007.  I haven't been back to T-Town since 2010 but I still root for the Tide as my second team.  RTR.

TD Tua!  7-7.
